Important Announcement - 2012 IIE and Rockwell Automation Arena Student Simulation Contest

Greetings!

For 17 years, hundreds of students from around the world have competed in the Institute of Industrial Engineers and Rockwell Automation Student Simulation Competition using Arena. Every year we strive to make the contest bigger and better. This coming year is no different and we are excited to announce the 18th annual competition with Arena!

How participate

To participate in the contest that’s enough to register the group at the Winter session (January 2012 – March 2012). All submissions will be judged in March 2012. The top three finalist teams from the entire year’s submissions will be announced in April 2012.

If you are not familiar with the contest, here is what to expect. Once teams have registered and received their contest materials, each team of three undergraduate students (plus a faculty advisor) will have eight weeks to provide a solution to a case study problem that can be addressed using simulation. The top three finalist teams will attend the IIE Annual Conference (Orlando, FL, May 19-23, 2012) where they will then compete in the final judging for the top cash prize of $5,000. Second and third place teams will win $2,500 and $1,500, respectively.

Contest entry

Nominations for the Winter session must be received from the month of December 2011 until January 17, 2012, deadline for submissions to the Winter session. For additional information on the contest and a link to sign up: http://www.iienet.org/Details.aspx?id=3382
