The benefits of simulation
The trial evaluation of the system dynamic behaviour can be very expensive in terms of time and costs, too. It may also involve risks or even be impossible to be effected if the plant design is still in progress and the plant is not actually available. Therefore, it's better to build up simulators of the plant to be studied; in other words, build up computer programs able to virtually reproduce the plant functioning.
The ultimate aim of our study is the design of control systems for plant and industrial systems.
We take care of both the so-called heating mechanical equipment
- boilers
- steam generators
- thermal power plants
- cogeneration systems for power and heat
and the cold mechanical
- machine tools
- industrial robotics
- mechatronics systems.
Once the simulator, you can evaluate different control strategies and management of a very low cost. The goal, as the case may be to improve an existing system or designing a completely innovative.
Simulation with DYMOLA/MODELICA
In the dynamic simulation process, ACT Operations Research makes use of Dymola to Dynasim, which allows the modeling objects in the standard Modelica. This approach allows to model complex systems, representable in the form implied by continuous differential equations and discrete systems to hybrid systems and events. The strong point of Dymola/Modelica is the ability to represent systems using the equations that represent the physical phenomena under review, leaving development to the task of transforming, through symbolic manipulation, the physical model into a model suitable for numerical various types of solver.
ACT Operations Research is developing a simulator to determine the dynamics of processes in order to study the behaviorus in normal oprativity or in critical conditions. The main purpose of such a simulator is to determine what the best policies for management to design and tune best automation systems.
ACT Operations Research operates in the field of process automation for many years. It can support both the development of simulation model and the design of automation system for process simulation. It may therefore offer a full range of services ranging from analysis of the process, the implementation of the model simulation, the definition of evidence, analysis of results, implementation of automation system based on the results obtained.
ACT Operations Research can support finally putting into service and the tuning of the automation system, bringing in the model plant, in order to assist the normal stages of tuning, or to conduct simulations designed to analyze and solve specific problems that occur when goodwill.
